With a blanket of snow on the ground outside there is nothing better than a cosy evening in.
Firstly I would like to point out, the post image is a stock photo, unfortunately I don’t have an open fire, instead just radiators and blankets.
A cosy Winter night in starts about 4pm, when me and Emily will snuggle down on the sofa and watch a film, potentially with some snacks.
Then at 6pm Emily will have a bath, I’ll read her a story and she’ll go to bed.
Normally I now take this opportunity to run myself a hot bubble bath, light a few candles and make a cup of tea.
After my bath I like to dedicate some time to self-care, so I might moisturize or fake tan, paint my nails or pluck stray hairs from my eyebrows. I’ll then pick out a fresh pair of my comfiest pyjamas and head back downstairs. I’ll pop a fresh wax melt into my melter, light a few candles and switch on the lamp.
At this time of year you can’t be a indulgent hot chocolate and a mince pie. So I’ll head into the kitchen and start making my hot chocolate on the stove.
Once I have my hot chocolate and mince pie I’ll head to the sofa, snuggle under the blanket and watch something on tv. This could be YouTube videos as a few of my favourite Youtubers are doing Vlogmas, it could possibly be a Christmas film or just some general post 7pm car-crash tv.
This is normally where I stay for the rest of the night, I’ll pop through to the kitchen to make copious cups of teas before around 10pm I’ll go to bed. Sometimes I’ll then watch more tv upstairs or have a scroll through Instagram.
That is my ideal cosy Winter’s night indoors if Sam is at work, I hope you are enjoying all my Blogmas posts, if you are please like them and subscribe to this blog. Merry Christmas x
